Down once more...

I’ve wanted to do this since I was a kid. Everything written about Erik could be true.

He sometimes didn’t eat or sleep for long periods of time, which accounts for his somewhat skeletal appearance. He lived mostly underground, away from sunlight, causing a severe vitamin D deficiency. That leads to jaundice which yellows the skin and can make the eyes orange!

Other deformities can be attributed to birth defects. Nature sometimes makes up for physical defect by bestowing genius genes on people. (Just look at nerds who are computer wizards!) Only this would have to have been much more extreme. That explains Madame Giry’s quotation of Erik’s resume. “He’s a genius! He’s an architect and designer. He’s a composer and a magician. A genius, monsieur!”

I will do this someday!! Poor Erik. He just wanted to be loved.
