Draw or paint every week

To make a decision as to what the first drawing or painting is going to be I’ve dug out my ideas book and as today is Sept 11th
the obvious idea jumped out at me.
As I have a habit of collecting pictures for future reference,amongst my collection were pictures from newspapers of this tragedy of which I was going to draw or paint leading up to the first anneversary.
Of course with everything else I put off this never happened and so is going to be the first painting I WILL do.
As with artists of all kinds,inspiration and motivation is a big factor in achieving their work sucessfully.
I am going to find time this week to make a start on this picture which will be a large oil on canvas painting.Not my strong point but I’ll give it a good try at least.

There was once a time when art was my life then it had to fit around having a family but sadly this past year since I moved into my house I have totally abandoned it.

My work and my materials still lie unpacked and as I am well on my way along the journey of self-healing I MUST unpack and get back to creating art again.

Apart from my children art, is my 1 true happiness and is that which feeds my soul so as of now I will try to produce a piece of artwork every week or at least to have sat down and gave my time to doing it.
