watch all the movies on my Netflix queue

I don’t want to cancel my subscription anymore. I really enjoy DVDs and while I’ve certainly made a good dent in my queue, I’ve added quite a few through my Oscar Best Picture goal. Until I feel more strongly about giving it up I’m going to keep going with it for a little while longer.

I have The Sentinel, Nacho Libre and A Good Year to watch over the weekend.

But what I am love-love-loving right now is Season 3 of Will and Grace that my friend lent me. Jack 2000! This is the season where they started introducing all the celebs – so far we’ve had Cher, Sandra Bernhard, Patrick Dempsey, Camryn Manheim and Natasha Lyonne (pre-rehab but looking fine).

I never thought I’d say this but this is just as funny as the UK version.

Season 1 of Wonder Woman – so funny! I forgot it was set in World War 2. As I recall, acting out Wonder Woman, Charlie’s Angels and Donny and Marie were seriously important games in my childhood. It was great to turn back time and text my reflexes with a little bit of “bullets and bracelets” magic.

Beverly Hills 90210 – Season 1 – Brandon and Brenda move from Minnesota and slot into the cool group straight away. Amazing. Brenda seems to face a different issue (breast cancer, teen pregnancy etc) in each episode while Brandon’s biggest problem is saving enough money for a new car and meeting troubled girls.

I watched ‘Brick’ and ‘On a Clear Day’ this week. My desperation to get through my list and to try and get value from my subscription has diminished a lot of the enjoyment I get from DVDs now and I feel sad about that.

I’m putting aside my grammar nazi tendencies (on my queue???) and adopting this goal.

Ever since I joined my local equivlent of netflix I’ve seen many many movies. So many in fact that I can barely remember them all. I’m so desperate to get my DVD value for money that I’ve stopped going to see actual movies. What I need to do is see all 39 movies on my list and then cancel my membership. It’ll be nice to read books and listen to music again.
