It was time to throw away the most sadass pillow I own. It’s kinda disgusting. I must drool in my sleep and it must seep through the pillow case. Too much information?

One bag is going into a charity bin – these can be sold on or given to someone in need. The other bag went straight into the bin. I’m embarassed I still had them. I guess I wore them under things in winter as extra layers. All I can say is…I really must learn to not spill greasy food that stains, and I really must learn not to rip clothes so much (and I’m not talking punk chic either).
I took an old stereo that worked perfectly well (except for the tape deck) to the Salvation Army and they didn’t want it. It’s sitting in my car boot so I might ask around and see if anyone wants it.
I have almost a whole box of the horrible weight gaining useless migraine preventative (that didn’t) that doesn’t expire til 2011. In this era of recycling I’m almost tempted to take it back to the chemist. It’s not like they’ve been used or anything but I suppose they wouldn’t accept them.
A bracelet, some more books, a CD rom for learning spanish, 2 scarves and other things I can’t remember but clearly I didn’t want them because they went in the goodbye bag. And then I said goodbye to that bag and took it to the charity shop.
that no longer fit me or that I no longer wanted but had nothing wrong with them. They went to the charity shop.
I went to a charity shop and dropped off a bag of books. I also gave them a bag of other things including videos, a belt, a bag, a pair of hardly worn shoes, a cutlery tray insert and other things.
I am loving this goal:)
Another bag of old magazines. I’m not even sure why I kept them. At least they weren’t shameful celebrity ones. Of course I had to go through them all first and just make sure there weren’t any images, articles or recipes I needed. I have been a lot better about not buying magazines over the past couple of years and it was good to see that the most recent of the magazines I was throwing away was from 2005.
I am being really ruthless. I am returning books to my parents that are theirs, either giving more books to charity or going to try and sell more books.
- things I photocopy “for future reference” and never really look at again.
- old magazines
- anything Weight Watchers/diet-related. Each to their own but I have been convinced that WW’s business is to make money off yo yo dieters. Have you noticed that people always go back to WW cos it works? If it worked they wouldn’t have to go back.
- old paper related things that for some reason I have held on to.
