We were invited to a dinner dance to celebrate a friend’s wedding anniversary. I was supposed to take photographs of the guests. The dance floor was tiny and the venue was very crowded. There was very loud very fast world music from Spain and South America and Africa and goodness knows where. It was deafening and hectic. We tried to dance, but just couldn’t move – there was just no space! Does this count? Probably rates a quarter success, so we are looking for a better venue now!

Watch this space. My wife and I have been invited to a friend’s 10th Wedding anniversary party with a dancing theme. Although I’ve been asked to take photos of the celebration, it will be a good opportunity to Go Dancing with my Wife! Wish me luck and hope I don’t fall over and land in the anniversary cake.

My wife is a good dancer and loves going out, but I’m afraid I’ll put a foot wrong and bring us both crashing to the floor at high speed. I think it’s now time to get over my danceophobia and find a quiet place to go to with my wife and try out a few steps in relative privacy before going to somewhere more public. Question is – how to build up enough courage?
