... it was actually a gift from my boyfriend, who made the classic Christmas blunder of shopping for himself 3 days before Christmas and buying the same thing (an iPod) that his family had bought him.
And, thanks to his crazy procrastination, he waited too long to return the iPod he had bought for himself and decided to give it to me. Sweet.
