Seriously, I’m about halfway through this book, and it is eye-opening the way he brings all of this thinking together in a profound way. I see why Oprah is so behind this book. If you only read one self-development book this year…

Taking it one day at a time. Yesterday was really hard, but regrouped today. Work is just so inisidious, but I’m working on asking for help in all aspects of my life when I need it.
So, today I am meditating on Sea of Calm at work. This is my third day of having a meditation theme. Yeah, it’s cheezy, but it’s working! For me and my co-workers. It seems to diffuse some of the angst that we are all feeling.
Today I ordered pizza for our agency. And thank goodness I did because one of the founders of our company freaked out and wanted our logo redesigned…again! Eek! At least those guys had a yummy lunch on us, though.
I am starting a new system of triage at my job. I work for an internet start up, so everything is either demanded now or yesterday. Well, I finally realized that it is impossible to successfully give more than one person CPR at a time. If you try to give multiple people CPR at once, they will all die. I am using this as a metaphor for work, and people are understanding.
I work in a really stressful start up environment. It feels like it’s all too much truthfully on most days. But I know at the deepest level that I am responsible for my own peace. Gradually, I am learning to invite those things into my life that bring me peace, and start to say no to those things that don’t.
