I learned some spanish at school but promptly forgot most of it. However, my dream is to retire to somewhere in Spain, the Balearics or the Canaries, so I’m picking up bits here and there by reading Spanish news sites and practicing my phrases. I’ve got 29 years to learn it (more, if Tony B. Liar gets his way and has us all working until we drop dead). But I have a cunning plan and am making extra contributions to my private pension (you know, the one the government can’t steal from me, the thieving gets.)
