I went deaf at the age of 16. You learn pretty fast.

So, if you want to read lips, simply bung some cotton wool in your ears (or some cheese, if you’re an Allo Allo fan) and attempt to converse with the person of your choice.

Be nice to deaf people. Their lives are not easy, and we do not “hear what we want to hear”.
