It’s nice with a goal that has a success rate that is easy to measure. This is one of them. I wouldn’t say I knew a lot about wine, but I definitely know a lot more know than I did before.
We have regular tastings now – some formal, and some informal – just to get a general feel of what types of wines taste what way. It’s an enriching experience and I’m thoroughly glad I took this on. I’m going to be drinking excellent wines for a long time.

I’ve met this really amazing woman that works in the wine department. She remembers what wine I bought last time! So last time I was there she convinced me that I should start my own wine cellar, even if it’s small scale. So now I have two bottles that aren’t supposed to be opened for the next five years.
As far as the grapes, Viognier and Chardonnay are still up there.

Winetasting this Friday! Major one as well, a few hundered wines I think. And I’m going with a guy that knows loads so I should pick up a thing or two. I still like Viognier and Chenin Blanc even if I tried an amazing Chardonnay the other day.

Okay, it’s officially started. I’m learning white wines during the summer and red wines in autumn/winter.
First thing I learnt: I prefer Chenin Blanc to Sauvignon Blanc. Also, South African Viognier is really fruity and good.
I’m loving this! It’s costing me a fortune, but it’s worth it any day.
