Doin' well!

As well as my socks, I’ve got a couple of skirts and a top. I’ve signed up to the college course next term to learn more about custom fitting and pattern alteration so I’m marking this one as complete.

Socks

I’ve just finished my first pair of socks, and have just started knitting a zip up cardigan.

Socks

I’m over halfway through making my first sock. I’m just about to start knitting the rib at the top.

#1 Jumper

I finished sewing it up this afternoon in front of the telly, and I’m wearing it now!

I’ll get round to taking a picture of it some time hopefully.

progress

The evening classes are going well, and I’ve nearly finished knitting myself a summer jumper.

Evening Class

I’ve booekd myself on an evening class. It starts on Tuesday.

Woohoo!

The dress is made! I’m wearing it now :o)

I think I might try to make one item of clothing for myself per week. I should have a new wardrobe full of my own clothes in no time.

Neckline done!

I’m just pinning the straps on. Will it be ready to wear to go out in tonight? Watch this space! lol

Making a start

I found a nice piece of burgundy stretch material in my stash and have got the start of a dress pinned on my tailors form.

The back seam is tacked, the side seams and bust darts are pinned.

Next step is to see what I fancy to do for the neckline, hemline and shoulder straps.

I’m theory, I want my dress to be made ready to go out with friends on Thursday. Not sure if I can do it, but I’ll give it a go!

Untitled

I want to only own clothes that I’ve made myself.

I’ve got a degree in fashion, a functional sewing room, and a clothes business.

Let’s go!
