grow mushrooms

And fun to do too!

I had a lovely fresh mushroom sliced on my salad last night. I think this is complete. YAY!!!!!!!!

I haven’t a clue when I am supposed to pick them though! lol

How exciting!

The white fluff has started growing over most of the soil. I think the mushrooms might be coming!

...but the mushroom box has been put in the pantry. A cool dark place like it says on the box.

I can see a white fur starting to grow at the edges of the box. I’m assuming that is supposed to happen, but we’ll see!

I follwed the instrustions and the mushrooms are on the shelf in the airing cupboard.

I have to check them every two days to make sure they have enough water.

On Wednesday, I have to take the box out of the airing cupboard and put it on the shelf in the pantry.

I’ve made a shelf in the airing cupboard, and cleared space in the pantry, so I’m just off to set the kit up. Hooray!

I haven’t read the instructions yet, but should get round to setting it up this week all being well.

I’ve always wanted to do this, and have seen the kits in DIY shops which let you grow them in the airing cupboard.

Just got to make a shelf to put it on first.
