This has to be my all time most desired dive experience. One day, I WILL do this, it’s just a matter of when.
I have no doubt that coming face to eyeball with a fully grown whale shark in the open ocean is enough to get the heart racing, possibly to the point of cardiac arrest. There is something about feeling really small while SCUBA diving that really appeals to me – being in awe of something this massive only meters away and aware of me.
Unfortunately they’re hard to find and there are only a few places in the world that they’re still found reliably.
