cute sushi lunches 3 years ago

no, not the sneaker pimps song. i keep buying sushi lunches at school and they are about $6-$8 each! WHAAAAA?! so expensive! why must they be so pricey!? and theyre so much smaller than they used to be. very disappointing. but i’m even more disappointed with myself. i am too lazy/tired to make lunches in the morning. therefore i will start making them at night, just like my mum used to try to make me do. i always refused. maybe she was on to something. mothers are almost always right. well at least my mother is. down with expensive sushi lunches.

i spent a bunch of cash today. i bought my first real set of earrings although i am not allowed to wear them for another month or so. i also bought some small wooden animals i had been eyeing. then i bought a journal (for a good reason), a small picture and a book. then me and meg spent a wack of cash on chocolate. oh no. today has not been good.

smaller beers! 3 years ago

another packed lunch today! DELICIOUS!

so another way to save cash is to drink draft beer instead of in the bottle! not as good, but do you really care about the true quality of your beer when you are drunk? no.

at gus’ pub last night i bought a keith’s. $4.00! in the bottle.
next, i bought a small draft and it was only $1.80!!!! i mean, i wasn’t really looking to get super drunk (usually i’m not anyway) so why pay so much more for a full bottle?! its madness.

small drafts for everybody!

library movies! 3 years ago

i have realized that renting a movie from video difference is alot a money… almost $5.00! ridiculous!!!!

as a result, i have gone to the library and rented movies for FREE! people of the world! support your local libraries! plus the fine for late movies is cheaper!

only problem is most of the movies are a little older. but the newest i saw was from last year. nothing really to complain about. also unlikely to find really awful violent movies. yet somehow i got the exorcist, that one with johnny depp about jack the ripper and one about rasputin (an HBO special). in all, it really is a great deal. DO IT TODAY! SAVE YOUR CASH!

homemade lunches 3 years ago

made my lunch today instead of buying $4.00 sandwiches at the library. amazing stuff.

DISCOUNT VEGETABLES 3 years ago

so one way that i have been successfulyl saving money but also trying new things is by buying discount vegetables at pete’s frutique. because pete’s is pretty high quality anyway, if you look hard enough you can find both fruits and vegetables that are is the same shape as the regular stuff at the other groccery stores. for example- delicious seedless green grapes overflowing a quart basket (ie huge amount) for $1.60 and in fantastic shape. all are tasty and big (not getting wrinkly)and CHEAP! other wise, i would not buy grapes because they are too expensive else where. also this little secret allows me to try new things like my precious banana flower which normally would have been extremely pricey because its foreign and different. 2 massice broccoli bunches for $1.99 when one in the other store is the same price. in conclusion, i love you petes.

NEXT GOAL- set up secret bank account

money 3 years ago

so i need to start saving money. BIG TIME. purpose being:

1- school is expensive
2- i have plans to go do even more expensive schooling
3- i know my parents dont want to be helping me pay forever since they have things they want to do ie. go back to france, go to tuscany, and so on and i feel bad.
4- NEST EGG, as recommended by prof hanlon

as a result, i have decided that i am going to be extremely fantastic and save ALL my money. i will record the ways i am going about doing this and also my progress. and my plans.
