he was not very pleased. He looked at my chart and asked why I thought I’d had such a dramatic decrease in migraines and I pulled the book out of my purse. He asked, “did I give you that book?” and I said, “no, I just stumbled upon it”, and he said, “I only reserve recommending that book for my patients who have tried everything else. I consider the practices in that book DRACONIAN.” And I thought to myself, what about that pill that made me fat, and the other one that made me stupid, and that other one that made my headaches even worse… weren’t those draconian measures??? He was jealous. I’d healed myself and he had nothing to do with it whatsoever. He prolonged my suffering by witholding knowledge of the book! Who is he to judge whether dietary restrictions are draconian for me? They’ve been my life saver!
Never going back to see him again. Don’t need him anyway.

Then, I will tell him about the book that changed my life, subtlely letting him know that all his pills didn’t work, and all his talk about “it’s just stress- reduce your stress and you won’t get as many migraines” was total BUNK.

I want to write Oprah a letter to ask her to feature David Buchholz’s book on her show. Migraines affect 28 million people in the US, with 18% of women suffering from this disabling disease. The 1-2-3 plan spelled out by Buchholz in his book, Heal Your Headache, works. 28 million people need to read it. Who could get that accomplished but Oprah? The pharmaceutical companies don’t want to promote this book because it speaks negatively of triptans, those $20 pills that are the most common abortive treatment. I haven’t had a triptan in nearly 4 months and feel better than ever. Before Tuesday, I need to write this letter.

I think I’ll do that today.
