I'm am riding my bike to work

It’s only about 1.5 miles each way but I’m ditching the car and riding most days. I go slowly and enjoy the feeling of pushing my legs and moving.



I rode 13 miles today!

It was fun!



Two years ago, this goal was met.

But I stopped all the running and weight lifting and hiking and now am terribly out of shape again. My weight is 15 pounds higher than it was 2 years ago and I feel yucky. Reading back over how happy I was to be working on this goal really makes me think. What happened to me? I am moving this goal to first place. Higher than finding Maya.



This is really working!

I’m running, doing weights, and really seeing and feeling the difference. While I haven’t lost any weight, I’m thinner and can wear smaller sizes in my closet. I’m up to the 10 pound hand weights, and doing three sets of 12 on everything else. I ran three miles yesterday, and am finding running even easier than ever. I’ve been working on this goal for 3.5 months, and I can say that after all this time, I’m really finally seeing the effects!



I ran three times this week

and hiked for about two hours on Friday. I feel strong.



Today I hiked and ran and lifted weights

I hiked about 2.5 miles
I ran 2.6 miles without stopping in 30 minutes
And did weights for 30 minutes



I can run 2.5 miles in 30 minutes

plus do a half hour of weight training. I’m getting in shape.



On Monday

I ran 2.2 hilly miles without stopping.
On Tuesday, I ran (and walked some) 4 hilly miles with breaks.
On Thursday I ran 2.5 miles on the treadmill without stopping, then after a break lifting weights, ran .5 miles more.
5K, here I come!!!



I ran 3 miles!!!

Wow. I really did it. Well, I stopped after 2 miles and lifted weights for 30 minutes, then ran one more mile. 5K here I come!



Ran 2 miles without stopping!

Felt amazing.
