Make 43 offers on Freecycle

Have just given away a couple of complementary tickets to the allergy and gluten-free show in London this weekend.

Also remembered I did the same last year but forgot to put it on here (so it’s not one per ticket in case you thought I was cheating a little on this goal) – it’s amazing how many little things I’ve put on freecycle that would otherwise end up in the bin (or recycling for these!)

1. a brand new washing line
2. some brand new bathroom tiles (enough to do a fair sized room – we bought them for our flat but never laid them and they won’t suit our new house)
3. a used monitor riser with storage

Hope they get picked up soon

I wanted a scanner to help with my family history research – eg scanning borrowed photos and documents or scanning things to send to others.

So the old printer had to go. Will be useful to someone as it’s only about 3-4 years old and works.

A couple of wooden roller blinds that were left in the cottage when we bought it were no longer needed or wanted. Didn’t take long for them to be snapped up and collected.

Nearly half-way with this. Seeing what else we can offer as we unpack our boxes from moving.

A jacuzzi-style warm air bath mat is the current offer.

Have had some more cardboard packing boxes collected and a chest of drawers. Hoping someone will pick up a coffee table, DVD drive and freeview box (for UK digital television) soon.

Now I can see how large our dining room is – we haven’t been able to use it up to now as it’s been a storage area for boxes and packing materials.

Hope to have dinner in there tonight :)

After moving house we had so much packing materials that would be useful to others. Have offered our packing boxes and the bubble wrap that was used for breakables.

The previous owner left some furniture for us as we were moving into a bigger property and she was downsizing. Most of it is really useful (if not to our taste) but we didn’t need a built-in wardrobe, and 3 fabric ones. We’re offering one of the fabric ones on freecycle. Eventually there will be other items of furniture that we will replace but this will take some time.

Hopefully all these items should be picked up today and we’ll have a lot more space.

Some packing materials that I won’t need for the future and a rear light console for a car we no longer have. Hope they find good homes otherwise I’ll have to throw them out when we move.

I’ve managed to find homes for quite a few things (inc electrical items that the local charity shops won’t accept). Also have helped my parents and one of their neighbours get rid of furniture that was perfectly usable but not wanted by the local furniture project.

I like things going to a good home :)
