We emptied a further 4 boxes this weekend and found homes for almost everything (well we emptied 7 boxes and refilled a few as we didn’t have homes for some stuff just yet or things needed sorting).
We noew have just 5 boxes left. Three are full of things to go on eBay and two others are full of other misc stuff.
The room looks much better/bigger too now we don’t have as many boxes in it.
We found a few things that we had been looking for – but not the tent pegs!

But I have a list of things that we cannot find. Most are not really important but we’re going camping in a few weeks and have a tent – but no tent pegs. I’m not buying any more as I know we have more than enough but it’s really frustrating.
I don’t want to simply put unemptied boxes in the loft – if we don’t need the stuff then it’s going in the bin, on freecycle or on eBay.
This weekend we have put aside some time to go through more boxes. Not sure we’ll finish but I hope we get a significant way through the last ones.

Today I managed to clear some more space and find homes for some more things. These were mainly non-boxed items that made the boxed area look even worse and messier than it really is.
Hubby has managed to clear a couple of boxes over the past few weeks which is great.
We need to get rid of the rodents in the big and easy access loft before we start putting things up there (like suitcases, tents & camping gear, Christmas tree & decorations and boxes of memories & letters) as we don’t want these things eaten. Once this cold spell is over and the pesky critters have moved back outside we’re plugging up the entry points and taking back this loft. We have 3 other lofts but these have smaller hatches and are not suitable for the heavier or larger items.

They were put on freecycle and a happy man can now move a little easier and we have more space.

We’re unpacking a few more today and when we get to about 20 or so then we’ll freecycle them too.
Nearly 10 boxes unpacked today so far…
