My mum and I are doing a first weigh-in for 2009 on Sunday 4 Jan and weekly thereafter.
There is a weight-watchers at work but this costs money and I’m trying to cut back on expenditure. I have cancelled my gym membership but have an exercise bike at home that I can use and have put a wanted post on my local freecycle group for a rowing machine.
I managed to lose a significant amount before a few things happened and know I can do it again. I haven’t put all the weight back on and think I’ve still lost quite a lot so will find out on Sunday.

I’m swimming at least a couple of times a week and going to the gym twice a week at the moment and hoped this with a diet would get my weight down further but it hasn’t really happened.
Some good news though – when I joined my current gym (my old one was too expensive) I had a full health check and had an update this week.
In the last 6 weeks I’ve lost a little weight but have reduced my body fat percentage by loads (the trainer double checked it as he couldn’t believe how much was lost) and my waistline by 3cm. I must be putting on muscle in place of fat and we all know this weighs more.
I’m not so disheartened now as I can see positive results.

OK so it’s been difficult these past few weeks – long working hours and eating lunch at the restaurant at work everyday followed by a lovely dinner from hubby and not enough exercise.
I’ve put on 2 lbs in the past 3 weeks. :(
It’ll go. I’m starting to take in my own lunch from tomorrow which will mean I’m in control of my calories.

Another 2 lbs – that makes it 8 lbs so far this year and 28 lbs since I started this goal.

OK so after 2 weeks I have lost 6 lbs so my total since the diet began way back when is now 26 lbs lost.
35 lbs here I come

Done. Worse than I thought. I’ve lost 20 lbs overall since Jan 06.
I’ve put on 10 lbs since my dad had his stroke in Aug 06 and the diet proper stopped. I’ve had a few false restarts but am in the same mental state I was in Jan 06 when I lost 30 lbs in the following 7 months.
I can do this goal (then go on and lose more too – aim is for 60 lbs overall).
I’m doing weekly weigh-ins with my mum and on here. Mum started last week and has lost a good amount for the first week. I’ve now got to play catch-up.

First weigh-in is 6 Jan (with my mum). Haven’t been near scales in ages so no idea how much weight there is to lose until I hit 35 lbs lost total.
I started a new job last autumn and the staff restaurant is too good. That and all the socialising for Christmas really piles on the pounds.

Have lost 4 lbs in the past 3 weeks and apart from going AWOL today (up to max calories despite exercise so none lost today) I’m doing well.
There has been something to put a spanner in the works the last couple of times shortly after the start but this time seems different.
I have stayed fairly stable in the last 12 months and lost 33 lbs by end July last year. I put on 8lbs over the year (not too bad as it was a crappy year) and have lost a few.
35 lb loss here I come…

I haven’t been able to exercise much for the past 2+ weeks so will not make it by my target date.
Have tried with the food so it hasn’t been all bad. I will mark this goal complete soon.

It won’t be easy (but when has dieting been easy?)
I am really motivated to do this and keep going during the summer.
I’m putting last summer’s clothes on eBay over this month meaning I’ll have to lose the damn weight or have nothing to wear (I have bought some smaller clothes and refuse to buy any more clothes at my current size as I have no intention of staying at this weight for long). I think this is a good enough incentive.
