Got the first book but will NOT open it until after my exam on 4th April. Hubby can read it first – don’t mind about that.

Any suggestions as to whether this (rather thick) book is good holiday reading. We’re off to Venice on the Orient Express later in April. Is this book too engrossing/demanding?

I bought The System of the World the other week as I read the back and it looked good. I’ve read other Neal Stephenson books and enjoyed them.

Only when I got home did I read the first sentence on the back cover “The thrilling conclusion to the Baroque Cycle”.

Now I have to get the other two and read them first.
