But it’s been a tough month so the fact that they’re not worse is a really good thing. I’ve an exam in a couple of weeks and that’s often a bad time for me.
I think this will be done by the end of the year (at the latest).
My hands aren’t perfect yet but I have fingers that look a lot better. If you look closely you’ll be able to see that there are still some bits (admittedly small bits) that have been attacked.
I’m feeling less need to bite, pick, tear and cut my skin.
The thumbs are the hardest to stop and I don’t know why. They’re much better than they were before but still look a mess.
Well hopefully hubby will be stopping smoking soon.
If I can stop biting, picking, tearing etc the skin on my fingers then hubby will give up smoking – after I’ve been successful for a few months.
Now that is what I call an incentive – not that it’ll make it any easier.
My father had a stroke nearly 4 weeks ago and I have 2 exams coming up in the next 10 days.
They’re in a pretty poor state right now.
I hope that once the exams are over I’ll have a little less to worry about and can start in earnest again.
I have been sooo tempted this week and have not bitten too much.
I’ve picked as much as usual but haven’t been near them with anything else. My thumbs are as bad as ever but the fingers are a little better.
Was very tempted to remove a bit of skin here and there with my necklace – good pointy bits on it for that – but managed to resist.
I want to make my fingers and thumbs look better.
I used to bite my nails but have stopped for a few years now. Unfortunately I started attacking my fingers and mostly thumbs. It’s often unconcious picking or biting and I’m unaware until I feel the pain.
I’ll start with the last one first as this is the most conscious action.
