This should be easier now we're out in the country 14 months ago

In the evening we can see many many more stars that we could living in the centre of London. Now to hope that the next meteor shower is on a non-cloudy night.

I tried to see the Leonids once 2 years ago

The sky was clear all night until about 4am but then the clouds rolled over. The meteors would have been visible except for the heavy cloud. Damn.

We were up and dressed so decided to visit the 24 hour large supermarket before 6am (miss the Saturday crowds). On the way there the police stopped us (hubby was driving my car). We were dressed up with warm clothes and hubby had thick black woolly hat on too as it was a cold November pre-dawn morning. They were really pleased when hubby said the car wasn’t his but not at all pleased when I said it was mine – they had to let us continue.
