Doing P90 again, but this time not alone :)

Erik is taking part too, and it’s quite fun, actually.

Progress!

Well, I am using Fitocracy nowadays, plus I just finished this workout plan and have moved on to the next level and I’m enjoying it. I’m not working any more so it’s given me time to focus on exercise and my diet :) I also like the fact that the plans are only for 20 days each. I really struggled with P90, it wasn’t the level particularly, it was just willing myself to do it for 3 months.

I also walk every other day, cycle on my indoor bike the day I don’t walk, do a little Wii Fit exercise (I’m trying to improve my jogging) and am starting some dumbbell exercises :) It’s early days yet, but I am feeling good about things.

I am doing the Power 90 program at the moment

And it’s definitely helping, I work out every day bar Sundays, either weights and push ups, or cardio and abs. And I am actually enjoying it, I’m seeing small changes and I am stronger than I was a month ago (when I started). It’s all good. It’s a 90 day programme, and I’m already deciding what workouts I’ll be doing once the 90 days are up :) That’s got to be a good sign, right?

Baby steps

I have realised that I am seriously unfit. So, it’s hard to know where to start. I’m guessing the best option would be an half hour walk a day? If I can keep that up for a month, I guess I could then vary it. Sound good?

Day 2 of regular exercise

I have a good routine going; breakfast, check emails and stuff for half and hour, then use the Wii Fit for half an hour (and burn the 104 calories, which takes around the same amount of time). I enjoy exercising almost first thing, not to get it out of the way, but to put me in a good mood. It’s going well :)

Much the same story as last time

It’s low impact and steady progress over ‘But is this doing anything anyway?’ thoughts. Which generally leave me in a ‘oh sod it, nothing’s changing’ kind of mood. So I try something harder and find it too hard, feel bad because I’m young and should be able to do these things, and give up entirely.

Why is this so difficult a concept for me? Argh!

It's just not regular enough yet

I’ve been very inconsistent with it, and have found I’ve actually gone up a pound or so instead. I must start counting calories, and doing the wii fit and going for a walk every day. Those are pretty low intensity, and maybe that’s where I need to start. I think I expect too much too soon, take on something I am not ready for, injure myself, then can’t exercise for a while.

Who would’ve thought this could be so hard? sigh

Ugh, stupid illness!

Firstly, I had this really annoying spreading rash which made just walking painful, now I have a cold and cough (which I had thought were going away but don’t seem to be). I have been working through the cold and cough, however. I think I set my goals for daily exercise a little too high, I don’t want to set myself up for failure after all. So instead each day, I will do either a fitness DVD or the Wii fit for at least half an hour, every day. And, if I feel like it, a walk too.

Been lax with this at home

But have decided when I get back to Sweden I will do at least an hour of Wii Fit a day, go for a walk (whether that be long or short depends on what else I get done that day) and complete one exercise DVD. I find using Wii Fit and DVDs (any visual stimulation, where there is something in real time to follow)) work better for me than reading exercises out of a book.
