follow my heart

I arrived yesterday afternoon. It is still very weird, knowing I won’t be returning ‘home’, home of course being England, where I have lived in the same house almost 22 years. But home is where your heart is, and mine is most definitely here, in Sweden, with my lovely boyfriend, Erik. Of course, I should credit 43Things itself with a little thanks for us even being together, considering it was here that we met :)

You don’t have to be fluent in Swedish to live there. I just have to sort out what job I’m going to have (which may mean retraining over here), then I’m off :)

...think I’m moving too fast, wanting to move to Sweden to be with my boyfriend, Erik. They are worried that if it doesn’t work out, I’ll be stuck. I can understand their concern, but sometimes you have to take risks. Obviously you have to weigh up the pros and cons, but sometimes you just have to do the scary thing, because if you don’t, you’ll always be thinking “what if?”.

I need to learn Swedish, which I’m trying to do, then I can move whenever I want :) It’s exciting.

...My heart is in another country, and I don’t know how feasible it would be to move there, as much as I want to. I will have to investigate, but also I doubt my parents will agree to it. I guess I’ll just have to find out as much as I can about doing it, then tell them about it.
