Gratitude is a mind state that leads to happiness and contentment. So, it’s good to go forward into the new year with a grateful heart. We can get caught up in negative emotions, like resentment or anger. But such emotions are destructive and painful for you as well as for others.

Whenever you notice that you’re energy is negative, ask yourself:
“What am I grateful for?”

today i am grateful for not having to switch psych meds after all 4 months ago

the surgeon says I will be able to continue on these, despite what I’ve read elsewhere.

it seemed so much cooler today. i am SO ready for the end of summer. (mind you, i live in tucson. i’ll be happy when it’s in the 80s regularly)

washing the dishes at night seems to have become a habit for me. these last few days when i’ve done little else constructive, i have managed to get the dishes done, at least. yay me!

Feeling sluggish and getting nothing done are so last week. I have a brand new week ahead of me for trying to do my best.



today i am grateful for certainty 4 months ago

the son of a friend has been helping us out on a more or less weekly basis for about a year. recently, he hasn’t been very reliable, and we have been giving him a lot of ‘second chances’. A few weeks ago, we agreed he would come every friday. he came by yesterday hoping he could do his work then as he needed the cash. we had him do part of the work and come back today to do the rest, as we were doing shopping today for 40 lb. bags of dog food and needed his help with the heavy lifting. he agreed to come back today, and we paid him in full yesterday. well, he didn’t come. no more excuses, no more second chances, no more job here for him. bummer for all of us.

I am grateful today for my relationship with my ex-husband, and happy to think he may have found someone compatible to share his life with
