The waiting game.

I’m wondering if this will ever happen. I want to go soooo bad! Now would be a great time of year to go, except the “having no money” thing holding me back. I think I’m going to fix up my car, get some new tires, and maybe just go up there in a few months. Pack everything I can in the car and just go. I wish I could come into some mula in the next couple of months. You hear that universe?

Here I come!

Should be moving there in about a month….when it warms up a bit. I might have to live in my car for a while ‘till I get a place, and I don’t want to freeze my ass off!

I need advice...

My plan was to move in a year, maybe two. But since I have no money saved, it seems like it will never happen.

How does anyone move anywhere? I don’t get it! I’m figuring it will cost somewhere around five thousand dollars for the move from San Diego to Portland. That should cover the movers, hotel for a couple nights, gas, food, rent and deposit, and rent and food for a couple of months, hopefully. Does this sound right?

I’ve never moved anywhere outside of SD, and even to move within the city you need (well, landlords want) to be making somewhere around three times what rent is, right? So how do you move to a new state and convince a landlord to rent to you with no job? Is that possible?

I've had it.

My bf and I decided yesterday we are going to move to Portland. It’s going to take a little over a year to save enough $ to move. I’ve never lived anywhere except San Diego, so I’m scared, and excited at the same time. I guess I have more than a year to get used to the idea. Hopefully we can get up there by the end of this summer to look around. I’m hoping for a better quality of life and people up there. I’ve had it with So.Cal. Things are way to expensive. I would never be able to afford to buy a home here, go on vacation, etc. Also, California seems to attract people with bad attitudes. I’m so done with living here. I’ll miss the few friends I have, but I’m hoping to make new ones :D
