It’s a confirmation of things I already knew. Chrismation at Pascha is likely a reality. I feel like when you’ve been on a long vacation, and you’re on the plane coming home, and you’re about three hours out from the airport still…. but you can’t wait to get home and see your dog and your best friend, and you just want the plane to land already, but you’re also really enjoying the view from the window….
Had our second class today, and finished reading Timothy Ware’s “The Orthodox Church”. Next is “The Truth of our Faith” by Elder Cleopa.
at either Pascha or Pentacost. =D Until then, my catechist has given me a very long list of books to read… better go get started. =D
I’m back at church, and I finally feel at home after five years of going to my parents’ church because it made them happy (and because there was no Orthodox church in our town). Ironically, my parents still go to the church I grew up in, but it seemed as foreign as a church on another planet. I’ll be doing catechism with my fiance quite soon. Thank God! =)
This has been coming for a long time. I was raised Protestant, but felt that something was missing. At college, I realised what it was that was missing…. a long story, but suffice it to say that I came to understand and believe that the fullness of faith rests in the apostolic churches, most fully in the Eastern Orthodox church.
