Here’s the present status:
Introduction (40 pages): Finished the first round of writing for the first 20 pages. I need to finalize them before handing them to my supervisor to read next Monday or Tuesday.
Article 1: Written, submitted, accepted and published!
Article 2: Written
Article 3: Writing in process
Discussion and conclusion (20 pages): Not much yet…
ALSO, I’ve done all the formating. That is, I have the general structure with the beginning of each chapter, the headings, the page numbers etc etc all I need to do now is fill in the rest.
I’m really proud of myself for coming this far. So, I have 119 pages but many of them are still blank (because they represent the structure of the thesis).
My first article got accepted!! That’s 1 out of 6 parts to my thesis that’s finished! I have two more articles to finish and submit, a ‘synthesis’ chapter, the introduction (background and bibliography) and the discussion (plus conclusions and perspectives)! Wow, I’m really excited.
131 DAYS LEFT TO FINISH MY DEGREE!!!
I’ve put a whole bunch of my goals on standby. And the rest of my goals will be worked towards but more slowly. This doctorate has got to finish once and for all. I’m spinning my wheels, going around in circles and can’t seem to take off!! I just can’t keep dragging this unfinished doctorate all my life!
I focus my attention on my doctorate degree in order to finish it by december. It will be a pleasure for me!! (At least I hope to see it that way.)
Now that I’ve decided to make this goal my top priority in my life for the moment, I’m taking MASSIVE action. I tell myself that every second counts. I’ve set myself a deadline : March 15, 2007 (to finish my part of the writing – perhaps the readers won’t have given all their comments yet, and my funding ends August 31, 2007). There, I finally wrote it for the whole wide world (www or world wide web?!? )!! I’m following the ten steps I referred to in my last entry.
I found a good website on goals (setting them, attaining them…).
And more specifically, I found these ten steps really helpful.
I need to finalize and get published three articles that have been started and then do a fourth article and write an intro. Sounds easy, no?
My funding runs out th 31 of August 2007, I need to hurry up and finish before then.
