Halfway done with the old testament!!!!

The King James ones are the easiest to get for free but sometimes they only have the new testament, proverbs, and psalms.

You could probably stop by most churches explain that you would like to read the bible but you don’t have one and they most likely can rustle one up for you.

Halfway through Chronicles. I think I’m past the geneology for this book of the bible. Amazing how important your lineage was.

While on vacation my Bible reading met a blow.

My first bible. The one I underlined all the words in. The one I had wrestled with. The one that was falling apart and was held together by name tags was retired today. After being puked on by the dog there was no way I could keep it. I looked at it and thought maybe I could cut off the parts that were soaked through but that would have left out whole chapters, not to mention smelled. So I threw it away.

I have other bibles so don’t worry. The Gideons have hooked me up and I have a very nice study bible with explanations at the bottom. And oh yes my favorite Red lettering for when God is speaking.

Up until this point the worst I had done was recycle a bible. Maybe God is challenging me to use my study bible more. I will miss that puked on bible but the good news is the printing press has made it so readily available so it is so much more replacable.

Anyways just finished Joshua so now I’m on to Judges
