OK well as far as I can see I am ALMOST independent. My parents are paying for my college education, but thats the price they pay for getting a divorce. Also, my father pays some of my car insurace, but I hope to be taking that over pretty soon. Everything else I do on my own, which is more than most people I know my age, and some people I know that are older.
