Purge - Miscellaneous Junk Stored in Garage

I’ve split up the “Clean out Garage” goal into several parts, hoping that it will help make it a less daunting task. One step at a time.

After I go through some of the individual items I’ve selected as separate goals, I’ll come back to this one to finish it up.

Filled another box of miscellaneous crap to take to Goodwill. Found a box of books I’ll never read again, and a few toys that I have no idea why I’ve been hanging onto.

I but the box near the door, so I’ll keep tripping over it whenever I leave. That way I’ll remember to take it to Goodwill next weekend.

Got rid of a box of old CDs and VHS movies, as well as two stools, by taking them to Goodwill.

They were really nice bar stools/drafting chairs. I hated to give them away, but I tried to sell them on Craigslist, and got no offers, so there was just no sense in continuing to hang onto them if I couldn’t use them.

I’ve been holding onto so many things for so long. It’s time to realize that if I haven’t used something in over a year, I’m never going to use it. So get rid of it.

Spent a few hours yesterday morning doing some organizing in the garage. I moved some shelves around, re-sorted some boxes, took some posters and a few other odds and ends to Goodwill.

Then I had to go get my old fridge from the house that I did the short-sale on, and now THAT is in my garage. So I made some space…then re-filled it. LOL

But…I did manage to take some pictures of some stools that I’ll post on CraigsList, so I’ll get a few more things out soon.

Did a little organizing in the garage today. Didn’t get very far, but I did manage to take a truckload of stuff to Goodwill. So I guess I should be happy with the small amount of progress. As I continually remind myself, there is nothing wrong with “baby steps.”

Well, I just moved. You’d think that would have been the perfect opportunity to clean out the garage. Unfortunately, I didn’t take advantage of it, and now the NEW garage is even more cluttered than the old garage was. LOL

I need to get settled in at the new place before I can make an attempt at this now.
