general vehicle maintenance~ wash my car/get an oil change/fix oil leak/fix rear seat

Got an oil change last week & they said my car was in excellent shape. Only thing was a screw in one of the tires. We got that fixed right away since we went camping the next day and didn’t want to take any chances blowing a tire on the highway. I’d like to get the brakes looked at soon and the oil drip fixed. My parking spot is getting stained. Hopefully in the next couple weeks.

Been experiencing some problems lately. The car had been going through coolant like crazy the past couple weeks and then on Friday it started leaking and dripping all along the front end making a big puddle. I suspect a broken radiator? So it’s at the mechanic. There’s also an oil leak & brakes may need redoing soon. Sheesh. Well it is an 18 year old car, so stuff like this is gonna happen.

My Cherokee is back on the road again after a water pump issue. Hooray!
Now just an oil change and good washing are on the agenda.

Ughh.

Well the oil change didn’t happen. It turns out there are more serious problems, so I am parking it until I can get it to a mechanic. This sucks, but on a positive note, being someone who knows little to nothing about cars, it’s nice to have an oil change place that is honest and doesn’t try to scam. They could have changed my oil, taken my money, and said nothing about this other problem. I would have been totally oblivious.

I did manage to fix the rear seat today. It wasn’t as difficult as I was expecting.

Going to go for an oil change today…

Got the car emptied and washed today. But it will need doing again soon. It went through the touchless and didn’t quite get all the layers of filth off. But at least the salt and grime from the recent snowfall is gone. Next: need to fix the rear seat…
