I have French ancestry, I took French through the eighth grade, my girlfriend has French ancestry – this is definitely something I want to pursue again. If I watch the CBC that they show on cable, I can sort-of understand some of the things that are being said. I would really like to be able to carry on a conversation in French so I can visit some places off the beaten path in Montreal and eventually make it to France.
