- I have been spoilt enough in life to have the luxury of being frustrated, ungrateful and angry about a few bad hours. (Melbourne’s Public Transport System FTW.)
- I’m tired; tired is nicer than lots of other feelings.

This entry is really hard because I am so grumpy and angry right now. But feelings like these have to end, because I’ve had so many times where I am so happy that it’s like I’m standing in the sun no matter what’s going on or where I am. And I know there are more times like that waiting for me. It is with this in mind that I list these things that make me happy when I feel like I can’t even muster a smile:
Things that I love:
- The “yes” button on my mobile phone is so much more worn out than the “no” button.
- The way in which rabbits hop. It’s just fantastic.
- Tomato tapenade, beetroot dip, tempeh and blueberries.
What I’m excited about:
- There are an increasing amount of people in my life who love me enough to fight for our relationship, even when I’m shutting down emotionally.
- I’m starting a herb garden soon, and it’s going to be beautiful and so well taken care of.
- University offers are now only 3 days away and rather than the wasteland at high school, the subject list at Melbourne is so long and rich and amazing! I am having trouble narrowing them down, it’s a problem I’ve barely even had before.

Things worth savouring when horrible things that I can’t fix make me depressed:
- Pancakes with lemon and sugar.
- The bittersweet settling feeling in my stomach when I finish reading a great book.
- Seeing the ocean again in 4 days.
- The satisfaction that comes with writing a poem that rhymes nicely.
- Leaving every thing I hate about myself on the surface when I dive under water to the one place where I am graceful and, for all intents and purposes, perfect.

- I just got my hands on a copy of the above. I’ve been meaning to read this since at least last summer.
- I made vegan special fried rice last night. It was orgasmic.
- I’m seeing friends tonight who I never get to see.
- I slept in today and woke up with a lovely dazed feeling that only comes after sleeping in or napping.
