I’ve taken to doing jogging/speed walking (when I can’t jog long distances) every evening as my body allows for it. I had already managed to loose 2 lbs. from watching my diet, but when I added the jogging in the evenings I noticed I started to lose a pound a week. It’s amazing. I’m down SEVEN pounds from mid-April. If I keep it up, I’ll probably have lost a full 10 by the time we hit the shore in July! I’m so excited I could burst!

I think 15 lbs is nothing to sniff at, and I’m really glad I’ve managed it. I’d like to double that in the upcoming year, and I think I will be able to since we’ve started eating healthier, and from home.
I’m already feeling better about my clothes and myself and I intend to keep the trend rolling from here in 2011.
I’m excited that I’ve managed to lose and keep off 10 lbs. since New Year’s Day, but really there’s so much more to go that it seems like a little blip on the radar. I’m going to try to ramp up my exercise routine and get in 15 minutes a day in the very least (aim for half an hour). I’m guessing things will ramp up shortly thereafter.
As of this morning I am officially 15 pounds lighter than I was on January 1st. I haven’t been this skinny for at least 2 years, and old clothes I had are now becoming easy to fit in to. I’m just shocked at the kind of difference a few pounds will make!
This summer I’m going to wear shorts instead of jeans. And for the first time I won’t feel so self-conscious doing it. I’m excited.
At this rate I will definitely have lost 20 lbs. by June. I am now shooting for 40 pounds by January 1st of 2011. It’ll be nice to fit back in to the few remaining pieces from when I was that skinny!
It’s official. I’ve lost 12 lbs. AND I’m keeping it off! How utterly amazing!
My pants, which are generally somewhat tight, are starting to slide around on my body. Before too long I’ll be back down to another size and I’ll need a belt for my jeans that I have now!
This feels so wonderful… just knowing that getting rid of 10% of my body weight will make me able to have children again as well as fix my blood sugar issues AND make it so that I’m on my way to being sexy and skinny again. I’m already feeling like I need to keep going, and it’s the motivation and hope that keeps me taking walks, doing yoga, and being active.
I am so ready for this.
After a phone call from the doctor’s office today confirming that I had PCOS, this isn’t a matter of just wanting to do it. I need to do it in order to regain my health.
Going to talk to the doctor tomorrow night about what to do to try and lose the weight. With the medications she prescribes correcting the hormone imbalances, it should make losing the weight easier. Fingers crossed and renewed effort ahead!
Up to 9 lbs.! A bit behind where I wanted to be, but if I can hit 10 lbs. lost by the end of the month, I’ll consider myself a happy girl! (My goal was really to lose about 4 a month, I’ll take 5 for sure!)
I can definitely feel the difference those 10 lbs. made. I’ve got the urge to get up and MOVE. Hopefully it just builds and builds until I’m suddenly well beyond my goal and just keep going.
I’ve managed to drop 8 lbs. through a combination of exercise, yoga, vegetarian fare and elimination of sugar drinks (i.e. soda and coffee).
At this rate if I continue I’ll lose almost 50 lbs. by June! And I haven’t even been doing the more intense cardio that I planned on. I imagine it’ll probably drop off much faster after that. I finally have faith I can do this!
It’s gotten to the point where it hurts to walk fast, and I love to walk. It’s time to start the massive weight-shed and get back to where I was before I went to college, when I was active all the time. I look forward to getting rid of the hypoglycemia and back and joint pain.
