I now have access to my mother’s sewing machine, which she has not used in years. I am probably going to take it with me when I get an apartment for the fall semester. I have an old copy of Reader’s Digest Complete Guide to Sewing which I picked up in a used bookstore last year. I wish I had held onto the sewing book I took to Austin and never used, but I don’t plan on replacing it unless most of the texts I hope to use prove to be too occult for my beginner status. Hopefully I will be starting on this project soon, it is a goal for the year to make some clothing for myself.
