or reader of books on buddhism. In the last little while, I’ve read ‘Meetings with Remarkable Women’ about the leading women in buddhism like Pema Chodron and Charlotte Joko Beck (I recommend this highly. The interviews are all great, especially to get an insight into the paths the women were on, and when they met their teacher(s), how they decided to go deeper. Lovely book.
I also read ‘Storms Don’t Hurt the Sky’, about a guy who became a buddhist practitioner when he went through a painful divorce and how it helped him gain insight and perspective one his marriage and move on. I liked this book, too.
And of course, ‘Radical Acceptance’ by Tara Brach I still think is one of the best books on how the process of meditation and reflection works to heal in one’s life. It’s one of the most beautiful books I’ve ever read.
Regarding my meditation practice, it’s been consisting of morning chanting and a short silent meditation.
