My computer is in my Helpful People corner,  — 6 days ago

and for awhile the anti-virus program was outdated, which meant for me that that might leave me vulnerable in real life as well. Leaving my computer vulnerable to viral attack just didn’t seem like a good idea. Time for both my computer and me to get some spiritual protection. This gua is about traveling, people (and angels) who come to your aid, and being treated fairly. I thought that renewing my anti-virus program would be a good way to fortify this energy, so I did that tonight.

In my prosperity corner, I have a mobile with little glass frogs hanging from it.  — 4 weeks ago

It’s very kitschy and cute. I bought it at a shop in Vietnamtown. But the day before I got laid off, it got all tangled up. I remember the morning that I got the news, I thought of untangling it before I went to work and I didn’t bother.

Must untangle. Also, it’s green, and although green is compatible with this gua, purple is the main color. I may move it to the family section where the primary color is green, and put a plant there.

Helpful People corner:  — 2 months ago

I just cleaned off my computer desk and cleaned out a drawer in my file cabinet that was full of correspondence between me and an old landlord. That was a very educational time for me, but I’m glad that the old letters are now in a garbage bag and out of my apartment. He certainly wasn’t one of my “helpful people”. I’m amazed that I held on to it for 4 or 5 years. Good riddance!:)

As my computer is in this part of my place, too, it feels especially good to use 43things here. I think 43things is loaded with “helpful people”. You all rock! Hugs!!

The Kitchen. This room encompasses the Career, Knowledge and Prosperity guas. Prosperity and Career need the most help, and Prosperity is totally a priority at this point. I’ll figure some things out and edit this post accordingly.

Prosperity Gua:  — 6 months ago

Inadvertently did some work on this gua by cleaning out my medicine cabinet and cleaning off the window ledge in my bathroom. Threw a few things away and was reminded of some things that I could put to greater use like eye creams and other spa items I have lying around.

My goal is to attend to the guas as they correspond with the Flylady zone of the week. Or if there is a gua that is more urgent, I’ll attend to that one.

This goal is going well...  — 6 months ago

I recently put up some new art work in the partnership area (chinese scroll with two goldfish swimming), and I ended up snogging another redhead on New Year’s. Hmmm. Maybe I should be more specific with that corner.

I put another scroll (peonies) in the helpful people area. Perhaps I’ll switch them, because peonies are for love, and the goldfish symbolizes happiness (or redheads, apparently). I put the goldfish in partnership because there were two of them.

My Flylady goal is working very well in conjunction with this one as all of the nasty clutter is less of an issue, and the place is clean and smells good.

I put this image in my helpful people/travel corner and here is why:  — 9 months ago

1. I like the image. Chagall is one of my favorite artists.
2. He is from France, and I’m traveling there (travel corner).
3. In my apartment, it’s in the helpful people/travel gua, but in the individual room it’s in, it’s in the relationship area.
4. It’s charcoal grey, and the color of that gua is silver/grey.

And mainly, I just really like the image.

My apartment has become a haven. It is so cozy now, and I love my main room. I still have some things to do, like continue to declutter, but I love the idea of feng shui-ing as an ongoing project.

Bought some crystals today.  — 10 months ago

Bought a purple one for the wealth corner, and a clear one to put in the bathroom to keep the qi from going down the drain.

Also, I received a tibetan prayer flag from the Dali Lama which I just hung up in the helpful people corner (office, right off of my desk).
