My challenge for this week 1 year ago

Need to add another goal to the list: 1 year ago

It is:

Be up and at ‘em by nine (daily)

I’ve been sleeping in, and then not getting dressed, and there’s so much I could do if I was ready to take the day on by nine (a.m., that is).

I want to be a little bit like William Faulker (but more succinct), who was up and dressed (in a suit) and in front of his typewriter bright and early.

Week of July 29, 2007 Challenge: 1 year ago

1. Purchase the books online that I need for my final paper. Didn’t do. Will do next week.
2. Go to each clinic shift available.
3. Flylady.
4. Go to the passport place and apply for an expedited passport. Next week
5. Go to the grocery store and buy my food for the week so I eat lovely and delicious meals. Bought 3 meals worth of food Sunday, and then was given a bunch of food by someone who started a raw food diet. Score!
6. Do my daily exercises. Struggling with this goal, but did 48 pushups today.
7. Purchase study guides for herbal comps. Didn’t do this last week, but going to see Long tomorrow to buy magic needles, and he has a copy of one guide that he can give me for half off. Just got back from Chinatown, and bought the Sidong Chen for half off.
8. Study for midterm that is on Saturday. Got a nice grade on this.
9. Begin preparing Anaya’s case with Barbara Did this Wednesday night. Made great headway, and had some wonderfully heated Chinese medicine arguments.

I'm jumping in now, 1 year ago

but I did do one really big thing last week. I quit my job!!! My last day will be this Thursday, July 19th.

1. My primary focus through this time will be to finish school (this is my last semester), and lead a balanced life at the same time.
2. So, this week my goal is to get through my last week of work and school. Try to savor every last moment of my job, because I do love a lot about it: the people and the things I’ve learned there. And to do Flylady (like glue), keep up my energy, and prepare my Master Plan for my final semester for school.
3. I would also like to plan some celebrations. One for quitting my job, and another one for my belated birthday, which was a milestone. I had a small party (my birthday is Christmas day, so somewhat of a conflict for lots of people), but I’d like to have something bigger.

Lisa has gotten 8 cheers on this goal.
