My home owners association doesn’t allow solar panel installation in its by-laws. I’m going to challenge them next year and try to get a grid tied solar sytem installed on the roof of my town home.
Too any people are blaming the government for high gas prices, or high electricity prices and doing nothing but complain and pay. I figure if I’m going to pay, I might as well do it to my advantage.
A solar assist sytem will eventually pay for itself, and in the interim the money that would have gone to the electric company can be turned into a tax dedcution in teh form of mortage interest on the home equity loan I’ll use to get the system.
Ther are state grants to help offset the cost too.
