Be an extra in a movie

With gas prices and time issues I should forget this goal, but I can’t. I really, really want to do this someday.

I need to get back on this goal. It seems that there is not a big demand for my type. Most of the adds I have seen want young men between the ages of 18—35, or hot young girls. I need to find work in random crowd scenes or as one of the people being squashed by Godzilla.

I contacted the acting group the young woman gave me but I think it is a dead end. I get a feeling this group might be a bunch of flakes. They were going to drive to 80 miles to my shop to borrow office furniture they had not even seen. I tried to tell them there were lots of used furniture places in their city that would most likely help them out but they were determined to use mine. Let’s just say it did not work out.

I met a young woman who was looking for wardrobe items at my shop for an independent film she is in, I told her I wanted to be an extra and she gave me a website address to sign up on but, my server can’t find the email to this site! I am so frustrated.

The film Drop Dead Gorgeous. I got a message from Sonny’s Extra’s telling me there was a job as a “servette” in the film. I did not realize that if you don’t answer the phone…you don’t get the job. I showed up for nothing and missed a day of work. I won’t give up this dream.
