stay in touch with old friends

Went to visit my old friends this past weekend. We drove 7 hours just to hang out with our old buds, go to two karaoke bars with them, eat dinner at fave places and see our old town. God I miss it there! It was so wonderful to see everyone. I hated to leave….

I sent all those cards out about 10 days ago…and no calls, emails or letters. I know people are busy, but I hope my friends do the same—-stay in touch with me! I’m going on trips to see some of them in April and May (2 diff towns)..But I will be disappointed if no responses…it does go both ways (they have phones, email, pens, paper and post offices just like me!!) lol

I did call my friend MsFlossy (pseudonym) last nite and we talked for about an hour—-got caught up on all that’s going on with each other. I really miss her!! My hubby and I used to spend a lot of time hanging out with her and her hubby when we lived in our old state/town….We will get to see them in May…can’t wait!!

Today I wrote notes to 6 people – my neices, and some old friends, telling them I was thinking of them, missing them and love them, and general chit chat about my new job, new town, and new home. I also mentioned that I’d love to have them come visit….so this is 1 step at staying in touch. Now if they all just write me back! If not, I will call them in about 10 days to follow up.
