December 31st seems like a good day to determine if I’ve fulfilled some of this year’s resolutions.
Since some resolutions can take a very long time to achieve, I’ll instead check the progress on each resolution.
But for now, I’ll stay in the present, and be thankful that I still have over 3 months to work on things.

In fact, not until April did I even consider starting work on any of the resolutions.
Assuming I can remember what all I chose, the list is:
Eat less and lose weight – Probably the most important and useful of the resolutions, and currently about halfway to my weight-loss goal. Giving up pizza was (and still is) very painful, but worth it in the end.
Do the splits – Every year I resolved to do this random goal and immediately proceeded to ignore it until next January 1st. That attitude is changed this year.
Stretch more often – A more reasonable version of the above resolution, also ignored for years, but now making myself do this every day.
Improve my strength – What strength? Yet another often-ignored resolution, now trying to add strength exercises to my daily workout.
Learn a foreign language – Probably the only resolution on my list which has been worked on in years past. I’m not studying as hard as I should though.
And one I should have added, but will now:
Keep a progress journal – I didn’t know it would be so helpful in achieving goals. I can look back and see the progress I’ve made, and feel better about myself.
