And it’s going to be a little while longer. I have no intention of stepping on the scale until I feel the time is right.
My current “save as much money as possible” mood resulted in my stocking up on inexpensive foods. Doing so reawakened my old habit of “if there’s food in my home, eat it”, and enabled me to eat much more than usual. Not good.
But today I’ve eaten the last of it, and I’ll try my very hardest to return to the eat less and eat healthier way.

So I had my first taste of pizza in almost 4 months. Medium size, instead of my previously usual extra large.
And as a surprise, my stomach started feeling full after the third piece. Quite the contrast from earlier (being able to eat the entire thing in a few hours, plus a 2 liter bottle of whatever).
Tasted good, but I’m posting this here as a self-reminder (To continue to watch my weight and not start binge eating again)

I was eating more than usual lately, probably due to my going to the stores and being dazzled by all the specials, I just had to buy everything.
But now I realize I still have the same problem. If food exists in my house, I will eat it, regardless of hunger. But one night last week I ate up the last of it. So I thought about stocking up again, then I got the urge to weigh myself, thinking “If I weigh less than expected, it should be all right”. But the weight was more than I expected.
The shock from that made me cancel the sudden shopping trip, and also fall back on my “Buy only small amounts, and eat only that” plan.
Currently my BMI is at 24.1 points. Small progress, but better than a couple of weeks ago, when it was approaching 25 again.

By the end of the day, I consumed an entire pint of Haagen Dazs Cinnamon Dulce de Leche ice cream (All 1160 calories of it)
Needless to say I was a little nervous to weigh myself this morning, but I did anyway. Quite surprisingly though, the calculated BMI was lower than I expected: 24.4
I was expecting a return to 25+. At least the BMI is moving in the right direction, however gradually.

Maybe it’s stress, or just a “need to recharge” from extra exercise and activities, but lately I think I’ve been eating a little more than I should (Although nowhere near my “one large pizza each day” of the past. Fear the stack of empty pizza boxes).
I still feel like my BMI is about where I was a couple of weeks ago, but I’m not quite ready to weigh myself (just ate lunch), so tomorrow morning I’ll do some weighing and calculating.

I figure that weighing myself just after a fasting period (such as sleeping), I might be able to obtain a lighter reading.
Not sure if that had any effect, but taking my height and the new weight into consideration, my BMI is now at 24.7, which is a relief considering my food binge from a few days ago. I’m going to try not to do anything like that again (I can but hope).

But I’m too scared to weigh myself and see what my current BMI is. I’ll wait a few more days and then weigh and recalulate BMI.
Yesterday I ate a little more than usual, and also had a (not so) small snack an hour before going to sleep (There was a good sale at the supermarket, so I had extra food in my house). I promise myself that won’t happen again.

But the second portion will prove to be the tricky part, because along with that I want to continue to reduce my BMI a little more.
I was tempted to celebrate my newest BMI reading by over-indulging in food (and ruin my progress?). But I’m trying to ignore such cravings, instead taking part in hobbies and activities to get my mind off of it.
Although I haven’t been using my FitDay account as often as I have. I hate to say it’s been at least a week since I’ve updated. Not knowing the calorie amount of several things I eat (because the food’s package didn’t display the nutritional information), along with the sites strange interface (I blame myself for not spending time to get used to it), my journals would basically be the same thing for many days. Maybe later I’ll try figuring it out.
Anyway, to think that 7 years ago, my BMI reading was 30 (I had a sedentary lifestyle and loved to eat then). I do feel the difference.

So I got myself professionally weighed and measured, and to my utter disbelief, my old scale is still working properly (thanks to calibration), and my height measurement was 2 inches taller than what I thought I was earlier. Very strange, that.
The extra height gave me a BMI reading of 25.3, so it won’t be long now (yeah! yeah! yeah!). Simply amazing. But despite the lower reading, I still feel the need to reduce it even more. Around 22.5 or so would be preferable I think.
If (or more optimistically, when) a few months pass without my going over the 25.0 index reading, I’ll mark this as done.

I decided to not replace my old scale just yet, as tomorrow I’ll also check my weight on a better scale and compare the results.
But the results from my scale today give me a BMI of 26.1, down 4 tenths of 1 point. Slowly but surely. Also pleasantly surprising since this is the smallest BMI reading (and lowest weight) of mine in the past 10 years.
Earth’s gravity doesn’t feel so strong anymore.
