learn how to do the Scorpion pose in yoga

8 cheers

Looks to be easier to do than the forearm stand 2 years ago

At least the “easy” version of this pose (I’m not at all talking about the full “feet on head” version pose, that’s out of reach for the next few years)

No, I haven’t attempted this yet (Soon I will try). But with the body’s center of gravity being lowered (since the legs aren’t pointing straight u)p, attempting this pose does seem to be a real possibility, especially on an unstable surface.

Let’s see what happens, and if a sound is heard around the world, don’t panic because that’s just me falling over and hitting the ground. Hard.

Maybe in a year or two, but hey why not try. 2 years ago

To me, the scorpion looks like the most difficult pose in all of yoga. I’m probably wrong on that, and more than a little scared to see even more advanced poses.

Something like this might be an unreachable goal for me since my arm muscles are not at all toned (do a pull up? Not in this lifetime), and nearly all my flexibility needs to be regained after too many years, but it’s definitely something big flexibility-wise for me to aspire to.
