I started thinking about this a little more.
If this does take off and gets well known on 43T and beyond, I can’t help but fear this might turn into the opposite of Kiva. That is, a large ever-growing amount of (unknown) people needing money than there are donations. And unlike Kiva, this money won’t be returned.
I know it’s against the point of this goal (gift-giving), but what about modifying it to be more of an interest-free “loan” style (Would offer leniency to people receiving the money, and relative peace of mind to those donating).
But if the financial factors become too much to deal with, maybe this goal can become a “Help our 43T friends achieve goals in a non-monetary way” goal. That’s something we all do, I hope.
And of course, I continue to be humbled by Gemmword’s strong dedication to this goal, and the “others first, self last” way of thinking. It would be truly great if this goal’s original intention can be successfully implemented.
