Did some more cache hunting over the break. Was a blast. Got a touch of poison oak though. Alas, the price you pay for going off trail. (freaking stuff is impossible to see right now with all the leaves fallen off)

Went hiking today. Beautifully clear in the south bay today. No haze. A little cloud cover so things were warm but not hot. Perfect. Saw a curious coyote and managed to snap a couple pics. Heard some peacocks as well. Supposedly little flocks have taken hold here and there. They are noisy little non-natives too.
What does a peacock sound like you ask? Try the peacock sound board. We were hearing the “screaming” type sounds. Maybe the coyote had something to do with it? Hmph. didn’t get a chance to ask him.
Managed to grab five caches today!
Total: 23
... grabbed on the drive home from work.
This one was the first of this type of cache I’ve seen. Was a big red reflector with a magenetic back stuck on the side of a guard rail. Pretty effective “in plain sight” hiding. Was standing right in front of it for about three minutes looking for the typical film canister or magnetic stuck to the backside of the railing. Didn’t think it would be right out in front for all to see!
Total Finds: 17
Two more found today on lunch break near work. Pretty darn fun. Again, geocaching takes me to places I haven’t been. These two were in a park I’ve seen but haven’t walked through.

Just spent Saint Patty’s Day geocaching around the Halfmoon Bay area in California. Was a blast!
I planned out twelve caches and we managed to find them all. Pretty darn cool. Both my gal and I really enjoyed doing this.
This basically exposed us to more of the area then we had ever previously really known and we have been going to HMB for a couple years now. I can’t wait to take some of our friends on a day geocaching. The cache hunting is way fun!
