Work on My Karmann Ghia

It was unbelievable gorgeous this past Saturday and the car had been sitting idle for far too too long. She had been tucked in for the winter rain for a bit too long (Will she start? Battery dead?). Like a total champ she fired right up and was warm and ready to go in about 4 mins. (I love air cooled VWs … freaking amazing!)

Filled up her slow leaky tire (someday I’ll replace that rim so it can hold air longer), filled up her tank, gave her a quick wash (poor dusty girl) and then ran her all over town for about an hour.

Was a blast! I even got some “spirited” turning in. Too much fun. =-)

Has totally put a little more life in this goal for me. Hope the weather/spring comes soon so I can show my face down at the VW club as well too.

There are a few easy things I can do to brighten and fix up my KG. Mechanically she is really sound, but there are a couple things I could do to make her feel loved, and be a bit nicer. I’ll make a list and start working on ‘em.

After I complete an easy list … I’ll move onto something harder maybe. (laugh). =-P
