Ha ha ha… I can’t resist. This picture cracks me up.

Why do I not have any cheers today? I’ve been cheered 3 times this morning, and I still have none. This makes me sad. I wanted to spend my day cheering people.

I don’t know where else to put this… so I’ll put it here. Wow, I’ve had some wonderful news after speaking with the appropriate people regarding my final paycheck at work. It turns out that as of February 12th, I became a true “employee” vs. being a “temp”. This means that I qualify for PTO (personal time off) and a raise! The PTO is retro-active (meaning they calculate this on my total hours worked since I was hired) and will pay all of this out on my final paycheck. This amounts to approximately 100 hours of PTO paid out at my increased salary. Woo Hoo!!! What a wonderful, terrific surprise!

I got a flat tire on the way to work this morning. Getting a flat tire is not in any way a happy thing for me, but get this: I drive 35+ miles to work every morning and my tire went flat in the best place possible—right in front of the guard shack we pass through on the way in to work.

I fully intended to change the tire myself—I mean, I know how, I’ve done it before. I did not object, however, when one of the guards and a contractor came to my rescue. I’d rather someone else do it anytime!

So I’m really happy with the way this turned out. I had a flat tire, but I didn’t have to change it myself and it happened when I was only going about 30mph instead of 70mph… Yah!

The more expensive mascara really works better than the cheap kind. Really. I always thought my eyelashes were short and clumpy, but they are not, it was just the cheap mascara…

Yes, I want to rant! It has to be about 54* or less in my office right now. Apparantly the thermostat for the heater doesn’t work and none of the dozen engineers that have looked at it know how to fix it.
