I’m gonna put this goal on hold for a while. I played a indoor football tournament a week and a half ago.
And my back’s still recovering…

Well, I played football again, unexpected! With my new ‘colleagues’ at my high school where I’m a teacher-in-training. Not on a field, but inside, on a smaller court. Which, surprisingly to those who never experienced it, actually means MORE running.
Enthousiastic as I was in the first 10-15 minutes (we had 60), I ran back and forwards, and actually scored the first goal for our team (with my freaking left foot as well!!!). Unfortunately after that, I got tired pretty quickly, and most of my power flowed out of my legs and lungs.
Resulting in a pretty shitty performance overall, in the end. Moreover, some serious muscle pain the next day and, a week later still, pain in parts of my back I hadn’t expected.
The football game is every Tuesday, but I don’t think it’ll be very wise to play again next Tuesday (which is in a few days). First lets get my back sorted (see other Thing and entry).

I got an email from my past-self, asking my present-self how it is going on the football goal…
Well, past-self, easy now, easy now. Things are starting to settle again in the low lands, yet I’m waiting for a few extra prerequisites to become favorable before taking action.
My back is still in questionable condition, and I’ll have to consult my physiotherapist (which I haven’t even called yet since returning from Central-America a few weeks ago…) before I will proceed.
Furthermore I’m waiting for an interview with the high-school I will be placed for the next six months, as a teacher-in-training.
Once the dust of all this has cleared, I do have a plan to take action. A good friend of mine told me that a squad right here in Nijmegen is looking for players. It’s on a lowly level, which suits me perfect, and it uses facilities of the very only professional football club here, N.E.C. !!!
So you see, past-self, I am working on it. Just have some patience my friend.
